tamuvāca tataḥ śakro dadhīciṃ tapasonidhim | prāṇahāraṃ prakartuṃ te nāhaṃ śakto yamicchasi

Darauf sprach Śakra (Indra) zu Dadhīci, dem Schatz der Askese: «Ich vermag dir nicht das Leben zu nehmen, wie du es wünschst.»
