एवं कृत्वा नरो भक्त्या लभते जन्मनः फलम् । तीर्थेषु दानं वक्ष्यामि येषु यद्दीयते तिथौ

Transliteration

evaṃ kṛtvā naro bhaktyā labhate janmanaḥ phalam | tīrtheṣu dānaṃ vakṣyāmi yeṣu yaddīyate tithau

Translation

Wer dies in Hingabe vollbringt, erlangt die wahre Frucht der menschlichen Geburt. Nun werde ich die Gaben nennen, die an den Tīrthas zu spenden sind—was an welchem Mondtag (tithi) gegeben werden soll.
