Parents (mātā-pitarau)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Putra
Scene: Parents speak with solemn clarity, invoking Brahmā’s ordinance; the son listens as the doctrine of karmic retribution is stated—an atmosphere of moral gravity.
Karma is personal: even actions done ‘for another’s sake’ yield results borne by the doer; dharma is reciprocal but accountability remains individual.
The doctrinal teaching is situated within Prabhāsakṣetra-māhātmya, aligning right conduct with the sanctity of Prabhāsa.
No explicit rite; the verse states a doctrinal rule about karma and reciprocal duty.
