शंभुरुवाच । अग्रे तु मम सांनिध्यमस्मिंल्लिंगे महाप्रभो । विशेषतोऽधुना चंद्र तव भक्त्या निरंतरम्
śaṃbhuruvāca | agre tu mama sāṃnidhyamasmiṃlliṃge mahāprabho | viśeṣato'dhunā caṃdra tava bhaktyā niraṃtaram
Śambhu sprach: „Wahrlich, meine Gegenwart war in diesem Liṅga schon zuvor begründet, o großer Herr; doch nun, o Candra, wird sie aufgrund deiner ununterbrochenen Hingabe hier in besonderer Weise offenbar werden.“
