Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 108

ध्वजैः सतोरणैर्युक्तं चक्रे ब्रह्मा विधानतः । न्यग्रोधं पूर्वतो न्यस्य दक्षे चोदुंबरं तथा

dhvajaiḥ satoraṇairyuktaṃ cakre brahmā vidhānataḥ | nyagrodhaṃ pūrvato nyasya dakṣe coduṃbaraṃ tathā

Brahmā ordnete es nach der vorgeschriebenen Satzung an und schmückte es mit Fahnen und rituellen Torbögen (Toraṇa). Im Osten stellte er eine Nyagrodha (Banyan) auf und ebenso im Süden eine Udumbara (Feigenbaum).
