अकामतः कृते पापे प्रायश्चित्तं विदुर्बुधाः । कामकारकृतेऽप्याहुरेके श्रुतिनिदर्शनात्

Transliteration

akāmataḥ kṛte pāpe prāyaścittaṃ vidurbudhāḥ | kāmakārakṛte'pyāhureke śrutinidarśanāt

Translation

Für Sünden, die unabsichtlich begangen werden, wissen die Weisen, dass Prāyaścitta (Sühne) angemessen ist. Einige, gestützt auf Hinweise der Veden, sprechen auch von Sühne selbst für vorsätzliche Taten.
