Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (Bhānu-āvāhana and sthāpana)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Yashasvinī (illustrious interlocutor)
Scene: A ritual altar with a lotus-like central pedestal (karṇikā) on a maṇḍala; offerings arranged symmetrically; the worshipper invokes Bhānu, visualized as a radiant deity descending into the altar space.
Reverence is expressed through orderly preparation and formal invocation, turning devotion into disciplined worship.
The worship method is taught within the Prabhāsakṣetra Māhātmya, aligning Sūryapūjā with Prabhāsa’s sanctity.
Prepare offerings, perform āvāhana (invocation) of Sūrya, and install the deity on the central seat (karṇikā).
