Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 119

कर्षुकाणां यथा सीता भूतानां धारिणी तथा । एवं स्तुवंतं सावित्री विष्णुं प्रोवाच सुव्रता

karṣukāṇāṃ yathā sītā bhūtānāṃ dhāriṇī tathā | evaṃ stuvaṃtaṃ sāvitrī viṣṇuṃ provāca suvratā

Wie die „sītā“, die Furche, den Pflügern dient, so ist sie die Trägerin aller Wesen. So sprach Sāvitrī—standhaft in heiligen Gelübden—zu Viṣṇu, während er sie pries.
