Narrator
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (chapter frame)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Sāvitrī, radiant yet distressed, stands outside a blazing sacrificial arena; inside, priests chant; outside, she weeps loudly after cursing Gaurī—her tears contrasting with the fire’s glow.
Sacred rites demand right order and respect; exclusion and insult at yajña become seeds of conflict and sorrow.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra is the māhātmya’s sacred setting; the episode supports the larger sanctity narrative of the kṣetra.
Implicitly references a yajña (sacrifice), but gives no procedural instruction.
