Skanda (deduced, continuing the Māgha vrata procedure)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (Sūrya-upāsanā context)
Type: kshetra
Scene: At dawn on Saptamī, a devotee faces the rising sun near the Prabhāsa shore/temple precinct, offering arghya and flowers; nearby, brāhmaṇas are respectfully seated for bhojana; the devotee’s open-handed giving contrasts with the admonition against stinginess.
Devotion is completed by generosity—true worship includes ethical giving and hospitality, not merely ritual.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra’s Bhānu/Bhāskara worship context within Prabhāsakṣetramāhātmya.
On Saptamī: awaken early, worship the Sun with bhakti, feed Brāhmaṇas, and avoid miserliness or deceit in charity.
