«Darum, o Herr der Rākṣasas, werde aus Furcht nicht zum Hindernis der Yātrā. Welche Sünde auch immer ein Sterblicher in Kindheit, Jugend oder Alter angesammelt hat—beim Anblick des Herrn Somēśvara wird alles abgewaschen.»

Protecting pilgrims is dharma, and darśana of Somēśvara is proclaimed as a powerful purifier of sins from all stages of life.
