FAQs

Sūrya is the life-essence that sustains both divine and ancestral realms; reverent praise aligns the devotee with that sustaining power.

The setting is Prabhāsa-kṣetra-māhātmya, implying special merit for Sūrya worship and ancestral satisfaction within Prabhāsa.

Tarpana is implied through “tarppayase” (satisfying gods and pitṛs), suggesting Sūrya-related offerings/oblations as spiritually efficacious.
