ईश्वर उवाच । मनसा चिन्तयित्वैवं कृष्णो नारदमब्रवीत् । नह्यहं श्रद्दधाम्येतद्यदेतद्भाषितं पुरा

īśvara uvāca | manasā cintayitvaivaṃ kṛṣṇo nāradamabravīt | nahyahaṃ śraddadhāmyetadyadetadbhāṣitaṃ purā

Der Herr sprach: Nachdem Kṛṣṇa dies im Herzen erwogen hatte, sagte er zu Nārada: „Wahrlich, ich halte nicht für glaubwürdig, was seit alters her auf solche Weise gesagt worden ist.“
