प्रसादेन च भूतानां गंगाऽशेषाघहारिणी । भूषयामास तद्देशं सा च विष्णुपदी सरित्

prasādena ca bhūtānāṃ gaṃgā'śeṣāghahāriṇī | bhūṣayāmāsa taddeśaṃ sā ca viṣṇupadī sarit

Durch Gnade gegenüber allen Wesen schmückte die Gaṅgā—Vertilgerin aller Sünde—jenes Land. Dieser Strom, berühmt als Viṣṇupadī (aus Viṣṇus Fuß entsprungen), verschönerte die Erde.
