आ नोऽवोभिर्मरुतो यान्त्वच्छा ज्येष्ठेभिर्वा बृहद्दिवैः सुमायाः । अध यदेषां नियुतः परमाः समुद्रस्य चिद्धनयन्त पारे ॥

ā́ no ’vóbhir marúto yā́ntv ácchā jyeṣṭhébhir vā bṛháddivaiḥ sumāyā́ḥ | ádha yád eṣāṃ niyútaḥ paramā́ḥ samudrásya cid dhánayanta pāré ||

Kommt zu uns, o Maruts, mit euren Hilfen — sei es mit den Ältesten, den weithin leuchtenden am großen Himmel, kundig in guter Kunst. Denn wenn ihre höchsten, angeschirrten Kräfte selbst am fernen Ufer des Ozeans gewinnen, dann ist ihre Macht erwiesen: sie komme hierher zu unserer Fahrt.
