The Narration of the Trayodaśī Vow Observed Throughout the Twelve Months
सम्यगर्थं च संपाद्य दद्यान्मंत्रेण नारद । पंचगावः समुत्पन्ना मथ्यमाने महोदधौ ॥ ३६ ॥
samyagarthaṃ ca saṃpādya dadyānmaṃtreṇa nārada | paṃcagāvaḥ samutpannā mathyamāne mahodadhau || 36 ||
Nachdem man die erforderliche Opfergabe rechtmäßig beschafft und bereitet hat, o Nārada, soll man sie mit dem vorgeschriebenen Mantra darbringen. Die fünf heiligen Kuh-Erzeugnisse (pañcagavya) entstanden, als der große Ozean gequirlt wurde.
