Sukta 3
इमा नारीरविधवाः सुपत्नीराञ्जनेन सर्पिषा सं स्पृशन्ताम्। अनश्रवो अनमीवाः सुरत्ना आ रोहन्तु जनयो योनिमग्रे
imā́ nā́rīr avidhávāḥ supátnīr ā́ñjanena sarpíṣā sáṃ spṛśantām | anaśrávo anamī́vāḥ surátnā ā́ róhantu jánayo yónim ágre ||
Let these women, unwidowed, good wives, with collyrium and with ghee make full anointing-touch. Of stainless fame, free from disease, rich in fair treasure, let the mothers mount the womb, in the foremost place.
Diese Frauen – nicht verwitwet, gute Ehefrauen – mögen mit Añjana (Augensalbe) und mit Sarpis (geklärter Butter) die volle Salbungsberührung vollziehen. Von makellosem Ruf, frei von Krankheit, reich an schönem Schatz, mögen die Mütter in den Schoß hinaufsteigen, an die vorderste Stelle.
