ध्रुवायां त्वा दिशि पुरा संवृतः स्वधायामा दधामि बाहुच्युता पृथिवी द्यामिवोपरि । लोककृतः पथिकृतो यजामहे ये देवानां हुतभागा इह स्थ

IAST Transliteration

dhrúvāyā́m tvā diśí purā́ saṁvṛtáḥ svadhā́yā́m ā́ dadhāmi bāhucyútā pṛthivī́ dyā́m-iva úpari | lokakṛ́taḥ pathikṛ́to yajāmahe yé devā́nāṁ hutabhā́gā ihá sthá

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

In the steadfast quarter, as erst was done, enclosed in Svadhā, I set thee—released from mortal arms—upon the Earth, as though aloft like Heaven. We worship the World-fashioners, the Path-fashioners, who have their portion in the gods’ oblations: be ye here present.

Translation

In der festen Himmelsrichtung, wie es einst geschah, in Svadhā (svadhā) eingeschlossen, setze ich dich—aus sterblichen Armen entlassen—auf die Erde, als wärest du oben wie der Himmel. Wir verehren die Weltschöpfer, die Wegbereiter, deren Anteil in den Opfergaben für die Götter liegt: seid hier zugegen.
