ईश्वर उवाच । शृणु देवि प्रवक्ष्यामि कथां पापप्रणाशिनीम् । रतिर्नामाभवत्साध्वी कामपत्नी यशस्विनी
īśvara uvāca | śṛṇu devi pravakṣyāmi kathāṃ pāpapraṇāśinīm | ratirnāmābhavatsādhvī kāmapatnī yaśasvinī
自在天（Īśvara）说道：“听着，女神啊；我将宣说一段能灭罪的故事。曾有一位贞善的女子名为罗蒂（Rati），乃迦摩（Kāma）那位声名显赫的妻子。”
