It portrays the tender, accessible (saguṇa) aspect of Pati (Śiva) and Devī, showing divine grace expressed as intimacy—reminding devotees that the Supreme is not distant but lovingly responsive to sincere bhakti.
While Liṅga worship emphasizes the formless-transcendent reality, this scene highlights Saguna Shiva—God with attributes—helping devotees approach the same Supreme through personal love and devotional remembrance (smaraṇa) of Shiva’s leelā.
A simple practice is dhyāna and japa: contemplate Śiva-Devī in a peaceful, compassionate form while repeating the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” cultivating tenderness, steadiness, and surrender.
