It highlights Śiva’s anugraha (grace): sincere humility and surrender (praṇāma) immediately draw the Lord’s compassionate closeness, showing the Pati (Lord) responding to the pashu (soul) with liberating tenderness.
Though the Linga is the primary icon of worship, the verse emphasizes Saguna Śiva’s personal accessibility—He is not only the transcendent Absolute but also the loving Lord who accepts the devotee and bestows assurance through intimate grace.
Practice heartfelt praṇāma before the Śiva-liṅga, mentally seeking refuge in Śiva as Parameśvara; pair it with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to cultivate surrender and receptivity to grace.
