The Assault of Gila and Śiva’s Mobilization

It highlights Śiva as parama-karuṇā (supreme compassion): steadfast endurance and sincere praise can draw the Lord’s anugraha (grace), transforming even an adversarial being through divine elevation.
The verse emphasizes Saguna Śiva—Śambhu who responds personally to devotion. In Linga worship, this same compassionate Lord is approached through pūjā and stuti, seeking his grace to uplift the soul beyond bondage.
Practice stuti and japa with steadiness—especially the Pañcākṣarī mantra ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya")—cultivating surrender and perseverance; this aligns the devotee with Śiva’s compassionate bestowal of spiritual dignity and protection.
