It portrays how adharma, when it threatens the devas and cosmic order, is checked through divine action—yet within Shaiva Siddhanta the ultimate sovereignty remains with Shiva (Pati), under whose governance even Vishnu’s protective role operates.
Though the verse centers on Vishnu’s combat, the Yuddha Khanda frames such events as unfolding within Shiva’s saguna līlā and cosmic administration; Linga-worship recalls Shiva as the supreme ground (Pati) beyond the shifting victories and defeats of worldly power.
As a takeaway, devotees may steady anger and fear through japa of the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and remembrance of Shiva as the inner ruler, rather than letting passion govern the mind.
