见他正碾压诸代提耶,那位勇者——怒使双唇颤动——便与诃利(毗湿奴)同往,疾驰上前欲战。
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
It depicts dharma being defended when demonic forces dominate; in Shaiva understanding, such battles symbolize the subduing of inner impurities (mala) that obstruct the soul’s return to Pati (Śiva).
Though the verse is martial, it supports Saguna devotion: devotees remember the Lord’s protective power in form and action, which steadies faith and prepares the mind for deeper contemplation of the formless (Nirguṇa) truth.
Contemplate Shiva’s protection while repeating the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) for courage and inner purification; optionally wear Rudrākṣa and apply Tripuṇḍra as reminders to conquer anger and ego like the Daityas within.
