那罗陀说道:“因何缘故,至上圣贤达提契诅咒了毗湿奴?又为何哈利与其同盟一道,对他显出嗔怒之相?”

Tattva Level: pashu
This verse frames a dharmic inquiry into the causes and consequences of anger and cursing, preparing the listener to learn how even exalted beings must uphold restraint—an essential Shaiva discipline for purifying the pashu (bound soul) and moving toward Shiva’s grace.
Though the verse is narrative, it supports Saguna Shiva worship by highlighting ethical purification—control of krodha and alignment with dharma—which is traditionally paired with Linga-upasana (puja, abhisheka) as inner and outer worship together.
A practical takeaway is krodha-shanti sadhana: recite the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with calm breath, apply Tripundra (bhasma) as a reminder of detachment, and cultivate forgiveness before or after Linga puja.
