Ravana’s Shakti Javelin and Lakshmana’s Wounding
मयेनविहितंरौद्रमन्यदस्त्रंमहाद्युतिः ।उत्सृष्टुंरावणोभीमंराघवायप्रचक्रमे ।।।।
mayena vihitaṃ raudram anyad astraṃ mahādyutiḥ | utsraṣṭuṃ rāvaṇo bhīmaṃ rāghavāya pracakrame ||
随后,光辉赫奕的罗波那准备向罗伽婆发射另一种可怖的神兵——凶烈而由鲁陀罗所主宰,乃摩耶所造。
Even though pierced by Ravana with ten arrows, Rama, endowed with high energy, was not shaken.
The verse frames adharma as reliance on terrifying, occult power for domination; Dharma is implied by contrast—true strength should serve righteousness rather than intimidation.
In the heat of battle, Rāvaṇa escalates the conflict by readying a new, fearsome divine/occult missile against Rāma.
By implication, Rāma’s steadiness is foregrounded in the surrounding sequence: even when opponents escalate with dreadful weapons, the righteous hero remains composed and resolute.
