Proposal for Rāma’s Installation as Heir-Apparent
सम्यग्योक्ता श्रेयसां च न विगृह्य कथारुचिः।।2.2.42।।उत्तरोत्तरयुक्तौ च वक्ता वाचस्पतिर्यथा।
samyagyoktā śreyasāṃ ca na vigṛhya kathāruciḥ | uttarottarayuktau ca vaktā vācaspatir yathā || 2.2.42 ||
他所言皆正,为众生之利益;对挑起分裂的言谈毫无兴趣。于更高层次的推理与辩论中,他的言辞如同语主瓦恰斯帕提(布里哈斯帕提)一般。
He helps those who take refuge in him. He is not interested in conversation leading to dissentions. But during debates he is eloquent like Brihaspati (establing the truth on the basis of reasoning).
Dharma of speech: speak what is beneficial and true, avoid divisive quarrels, and use reasoned debate only to establish what is right.
Ministers highlight Rāma’s disciplined communication—peaceful in social life, powerful in principled deliberation.
Measured eloquence: restraint from harmful talk combined with authoritative reasoning when truth must be clarified.
