大王,请聆听:今日我将详尽宣说那位具德而睿智、仪容如神的王子之德行;此等德行众人所爱,能令心生欢喜。
O king!, we shall now speak about those great virtues of the sagacious (Rama). Comparable to those of the gods, they are dear and a source of delight for every one. Please listen.
Dharma is supported by truthful public testimony: the assembly offers a reasoned account of merit, implying that decisions about power should be justified transparently and anchored in character.
The assembly prepares to explain, in detail, why Rāma is fit for consecration by enumerating his virtues.
Rāma’s wisdom (dhīmat) and universally pleasing conduct—virtues that generate trust and joy in society.
