Proposal for Rāma’s Installation as Heir-Apparent
स्निग्धोऽनुनादी संजज्ञे तत्र हर्षसमीरितः।जनौघोद्घुष्टसन्नादो विमानं कम्पयन्निव।।2.2.18।।
snigdho 'nunādī saṃjajñe tatra harṣa-samīritaḥ | janaughodghuṣṭa-sannādo vimānaṃ kampayann iva || 2.2.18 ||
当时因喜悦而激荡,响起温厚回荡的轰鸣;人群齐声欢呼,喧声如潮,仿佛连王宫都被震动。
There emanated cries of love and joy from the multitude of people (conveying their approval) whose reverberation seemed to shake the palace.
Dharma in governance manifests as social trust: the people’s joyful acclaim signals confidence in righteous succession.
The narrator describes the loud, loving cheers of the populace responding to the succession proposal.
