पितृमरणश्रवणं जलक्रिया च
Hearing of Daśaratha’s death and the libation rites at Mandākinī
अथ वासान्परित्यज्य तं सर्वेऽभिमुखास्स्वनम्।अप्येकमनसो जग्मुर्यथास्थानं प्रधाविताः।।।।
atha vāsān parityajya taṃ sarvē ’bhimukhāḥ svanam |
apy ēkamanaso jagmur yathāsthānaṃ pradhāvitāḥ ||
于是他们舍下营帐,众人一心,从各自所在之处奔走疾趋,直向那声音传来的地方。
Then all of them left their camps with one single thought (of seeing Rama) in their minds and ran in the direction from where that sound emanated.
Dharma as loyal service: attendants act promptly and in unity when the royal family’s crisis becomes evident.
Hearing the cries, the whole camp moves at once toward the hermitage/mountain area to witness what has occurred.
Collective loyalty and urgency: they prioritize duty over comfort or protocol.
