“王中之虎啊,如今您已往祖灵之界,愿我今日所献这清净无尽的水奠(tarpana),得以奉达于您。”
'O best of kings, you are gone to the world of the manes, and let this inexhaustible libation of pure water reach you'.
Dharma as gratitude and continuity: even after death, a parent is honored through rites and truthful remembrance; duty does not end with separation.
During the libation (tarpana), Rāma directly dedicates the offering to Daśaratha, acknowledging his passage to Pitṛloka.
Filial devotion and reverent speech (satya and maryādā) toward one’s father and king.
