Prayaga-mahatmya
Glory of Prayaga and the Magha Bath at Triveni
न दत्ते पुनरावृत्तिं कल्पकोटिशतैरपि । सत्यवादी जितक्रोधो ह्यहिंसां परमां श्रितः ॥ ७१ ॥
na datte punarāvṛttiṃ kalpakoṭiśatairapi | satyavādī jitakrodho hyahiṃsāṃ paramāṃ śritaḥ || 71 ||
纵经百亿劫(kalpa)亦不复令其再入轮回往返;因为那说真语者,已降伏嗔怒,并归依于至上的不害(ahiṃsā),便证得彼境。
Narada (teaching in the Uttara-Bhaga tirtha/dharma discourse)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"vira","emotional_journey":"A strong promise of irreversible spiritual gain is grounded in moral heroism—truthfulness, conquest of anger, and supreme non-violence—moving from assurance to ethical resolve."}
It declares that truthfulness, mastery over anger, and supreme non-violence are liberation-oriented virtues that prevent punarāvṛtti (return to repeated birth), aligning dharma with the goal of moksha.
Bhakti in the Narada Purana is upheld by inner purity; a devotee grounded in satya, jita-krodha, and ahiṃsā becomes fit for divine grace, making devotion steady and freeing rather than merely ritual.
No specific Vedanga technique is taught in this verse; it emphasizes sādhana ethics—truthfulness, anger-control, and non-violence—as practical disciplines that support all Vedic practice and vrata observance.
