The Procedure for Offering Piṇḍa (Funerary Rice-balls) — Gayā-māhātmya

तिलाज्यदधिमध्वादि पिंडद्रव्येषु योजयेत् । संबधिनस्तिलाद्यैश्च कुशैष्वावाहयेत्ततः ॥ २४ ॥

tilājyadadhimadhvādi piṃḍadravyeṣu yojayet | saṃbadhinastilādyaiśca kuśaiṣvāvāhayettataḥ || 24 ||

应将芝麻、酥油(ghee)、酸乳、蜂蜜等调入团食(piṇḍa)之料中;随后以芝麻等为助缘,召请相关祖先降临并安住于库沙草(kuśa)之叶。
