The Vision of the Lord Granted to Rukmangada
Prepared to Slay His Son
tāvadgṛhītaḥ svakareṇa bhūpaḥ kṣīrābdhikanyāpatinā mahīpaḥ | tuṣṭo'smi tuṣṭo'smi na saṃśayo'tra gacchasva lokaṃ mama lokanātha || 18 ||
于是国王被主亲手牵引——那位乳海之女的夫君。主说道:“我已欢喜,我已欢喜——此中毫无疑虑。噢,诸界之主,如今前往我的国土吧。”
Vishnu (Kṣīrābdhikanyāpati) addressing the king
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It depicts Viṣṇu personally accepting the devotee/king and granting him entry into a divine realm, emphasizing that sincere dharma and devotion culminate in the Lord’s direct grace (anugraha) and attainment of higher lokas.
The repeated “I am pleased” highlights bhakti’s core principle: the Lord is moved by devotion and right conduct, and His satisfaction (tuṣṭi) becomes the decisive cause for spiritual elevation and divine protection.
No specific Vedāṅga technique is taught in this verse; instead it conveys the practical purāṇic takeaway used in ritual contexts—phala (result) depends on īśvara-prasāda (divine favor), often sought through tīrtha, vrata, and Viṣṇu-upāsanā.
