Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It links inner devotion (dhyāna) and external worship (pūjā) with disciplined practice: a complete sādhana is shown as japa supported by a concluding homa, integrating concentration, devotion, and sacrificial offering.
By prescribing worship “in the manner of Puruṣottama,” it centers the practice on Vishnu and frames japa and homa as devotional acts—steady remembrance (japa/dhyāna) culminating in an offering (homa) that expresses surrender and reverence.
Ritual calculation and procedure: the verse specifies a standard prayoga rule—after 100,000 japa, perform homa with ghee at one-tenth (10,000 offerings/measure), reflecting technical discipline typical of kalpa-oriented ritual practice.
