yauvarājye svayaṃ prītyā sammaṃtryātpairvikalpitaḥ | tacchutvā supriyā bhāryā kaikaiyī bhūpatiṃ mune || 15 ||
国王怀着欢喜亲自商议,决意为罗摩举行加冕,立为储君。最受宠爱的王后凯凯伊听闻此决断,哦圣者,便前来觐见国王。
Narada (narrating to the Sanatkumara tradition/context; epic exemplum)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights how pivotal worldly events—like royal succession—turn on intention, counsel, and hearing (śravaṇa), setting the stage for dharma to be tested through human choices.
Indirectly, it prepares the narrative ground where devotion is refined through adversity: the succession decision and Kaikeyī’s response become causes for trials that ultimately reveal steadfast dharma and reliance on the Divine.
The verse reflects nīti/rajadharma practice—decision by consultation (sammantra)—rather than a specific Vedanga; it underscores disciplined deliberation and proper procedure in statecraft.
