The Description of the Worship of Rāma and Others
Rāmādi-pūjā-vidhāna

Narada (teaching in a technical/ritual context; dialogue traditionally framed with Sanatkumara lineage)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It prescribes a disciplined sādhana: bodily restraint (standing in water, limited diet), mantra-japa (one lakh), and ritual completion through homa (one-tenth oblations), presenting a complete vrata-style method for purification and merit.
Bhakti here is expressed through regulated practice—steadfast austerity, faithful repetition (japa), and offering (homa). The emphasis is on devotion made concrete through niyama and sacrificial dedication rather than mere sentiment.
Ritual science (kalpa) is implied: counting japa in fixed numbers (lakṣa), applying the daśāṃśa rule for homa completion, and specifying dravya (pāyasa) and timing (Mārgaśīrṣa; Vasu-related day).
