继而当诵“婆苏提婆之句(Vāsudeva-pada)”,随后念“dhīmahi”——我等观修。愿彼毗湿奴推动并照明我等诸音节及其正音;愿祂启迪、策发我等言语。
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within Vedanga/Śikṣā-Mantra context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames mantra-recitation as both devotion and disciplined sacred speech: the practitioner meditates on Vāsudeva and prays that Viṣṇu Himself empower correct utterance and inner illumination.
Bhakti is expressed here as dependence on Viṣṇu even for one’s ability to chant—asking Him to inspire the mind (dhīmahi) and sanctify speech, making japa a surrendered act rather than mere technique.
Śikṣā (phonetics) is emphasized: correct articulation of varṇas (syllables/phonemes) and harmonious recitation are treated as essential, and the verse functions like a prayer for flawless pronunciation in mantra-prayoga.
