婆罗门罗刹说道:“师长众多,皆堪受恭敬供养与虔诚礼拜。我将述说我曾亲近求学的诸师——你们众人当一心专注聆听。”
Brahmarakshasa
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It establishes guru-sammāna (reverence to teachers) and śravaṇa (one-pointed listening) as the proper foundation for receiving dharmic and liberating instruction.
By emphasizing respectful approach and attentive hearing, it aligns with bhakti’s core practice of śravaṇa—receiving sacred teaching with humility before worthy guides.
The verse highlights the discipline of śravaṇa and guru-upāsanā as prerequisites for systematically learning Vedic subjects (including Vedāṅgas) from competent teachers.
