The Characteristics of Devotion to Hari
bhūyo bhūyo'pi vakṣyāmi satyametattapodhana | nīyamāno yamabhaṭairaśakto dharmasādhanaiḥ || 49 ||

It stresses urgency: dharma must be practiced while one has time and agency; at the moment of death, when seized by Yama’s messengers, one cannot suddenly manufacture merit or complete neglected duties.
By highlighting the helplessness at death, it indirectly urges steady, lifelong cultivation of devotion and righteous conduct—so remembrance of the Divine and accumulated merit are already established, not attempted at the last moment.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana, Jyotisha, or Kalpa) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is ethical and ritual preparedness—performing dharma-sadhanas in due time rather than postponing them.
