āturāṇāṃ tu rogādyaiḥ pāṃthānāṃ ca sakṛnmatam | brahmayajñaṃ tataḥ kuryāddarbhapāṇirmunīśvara || 65 ||
Sanatkumāra (in dialogue with Nārada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It safeguards continuity of nitya-karma (daily sacred duty) by allowing a compassionate concession: even in illness or travel, one should not abandon Brahmayajña, but may perform it minimally (once) with proper ritual intent.
By emphasizing steady remembrance and recitation of sacred knowledge even under hardship, it supports bhakti as consistent practice—maintaining reverence for Brahman/Veda through a simplified observance rather than neglect.
It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure) through the rule of reduced performance (sakṛt) and the use of darbha as a ritual marker of purity and sankalpa during Brahmayajña.
