Graha–Ketu–Utpāta Lakṣaṇas: Solar/Lunar Omens, Comets, Eclipses, and Calendar Rules
स्वातित्रये पश्चिमायां तस्यां शुक्रस्तथाविधः । विपरीते त्वनावृष्टिर्वृष्टिकृद्बुधसंयुतः ॥ ६९ ॥
svātitraye paścimāyāṃ tasyāṃ śukrastathāvidhaḥ | viparīte tvanāvṛṣṭirvṛṣṭikṛdbudhasaṃyutaḥ || 69 ||
在三重的娑伐底(Svātī)时期,若其位于西方,则金星(Śukra)亦被视为同样的状态;若相反,则成无雨(anāvṛṣṭi)。然而与水星(Budha)相合时,便成为致雨之因。
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It frames natural events like rain within dharmic order, showing that careful observation (Jyotiṣa-based omens) supports righteous living—protecting society through timely planning and restraint during scarcity.
Indirectly: by encouraging disciplined, attentive living aligned with cosmic rhythms, it supports a sattvic life where duties are performed steadily—an essential foundation for sustained Viṣṇu-bhakti and worship without negligence.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa: using nakṣatra periods (Svātī), directional placement, and planetary conjunctions (Śukra with Budha) as technical indicators to judge rainfall versus drought.
