Sṛṣṭi-pralaya-kathana: Mahābhūta-guṇāḥ, Vṛkṣa-indriya-vādaḥ, Prāṇa-vāyu-vyavasthā
भरद्वाज उवाच । प्रजाविसर्गं विविधं कथं स सृजति प्रभुः । मेरुमध्ये स्थितो ब्रह्मा तद्बहिर्द्विजसत्तम ॥ ४१ ॥
bharadvāja uvāca | prajāvisargaṃ vividhaṃ kathaṃ sa sṛjati prabhuḥ | merumadhye sthito brahmā tadbahirdvijasattama || 41 ||
婆罗多婆阇说道:“噢,二次生者中最殊胜者,主如何生出种种众生的多样创造?又为何梵天既在须弥山中,却又似在其外?”
Bharadvaja
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It frames creation (prajā-visarga) as ultimately governed by the Supreme Lord (prabhu), while Brahmā functions as the cosmic administrator—prompting inquiry into how divine transcendence and immanence operate together.
By calling the creator’s activity subordinate to “the Lord,” the verse nudges the listener to place ultimate refuge and devotion in the Supreme rather than in secondary cosmic offices like Brahmā.
Primarily Purāṇic cosmology rather than a Vedāṅga technique; however, the verse uses precise technical terms (e.g., prajā-visarga) that align with disciplined semantic analysis typical of Vyākaraṇa-informed reading.
