It links cosmology with inner psychology: the same creative principle that manifests the world is also the ‘I-sense’ (ahaṃkāra) that must be understood and transcended for moksha.
By identifying ahaṃkāra as the maker and the inner ‘I’, it implies that surrendering ego-centered agency and recognizing the indwelling Self supports Vishnu-bhakti through humility and self-offering.
The verse emphasizes ‘Veda-maya’—that creation and right order (vidhi) are grounded in Vedic revelation, a foundation for disciplines like Vyākaraṇa (precise meaning) and Kalpa (ritual order), even though no single Vedanga is named explicitly.
