FAQs

It models the dhārmic protocol of approaching a revered authority—arriving from a tīrtha, offering praṇāma, receiving satkāra, and then sitting to hear instruction—showing humility as the doorway to sacred knowledge.

Though not a direct bhakti teaching, it expresses bhakti in conduct: reverence (praṇāma) and surrender to a worthy elder/guru figure (here, Brahmā as father), which is foundational to receiving and practicing Viṣṇu-bhakti taught elsewhere in the Purāṇa.

The verse primarily highlights ācāra (proper conduct) rather than a specific Vedāṅga; it implies the discipline of vidhi in learning—approaching the teacher respectfully and receiving instruction in an orderly seated setting.
