Narada
Vrata: Daurbhāgya-śamana-vrata
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that a vrata becomes ‘complete’ (sāṅga) when paired with respectful dāna to a worthy brāhmaṇa, and it frames the observance as a dharmic remedy aimed at calming misfortune (daurbhāgya-śamana).
While primarily ritual-focused, it supports bhakti-minded practice by emphasizing reverence, purity of intent, and completing sacred observances with honoring the learned—actions traditionally seen as pleasing to the Divine and strengthening sāttvika disposition.
Kalā/astronomical timing via tithi (Trayodaśī) in the month of Jyeṣṭha (śukla pakṣa) is central—showing applied jyotiṣa-style calendrical precision used for vrata performance.
