Narada (instructional narration within the vrata/ritual context)
Vrata: Hāritālaka-vrata (context)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes that a vow becomes complete through dāna (charitable giving) and proper pāraṇa—ending the observance in a disciplined, dharmic way rather than abruptly.
By linking observance to generosity and respectful completion, it frames devotion as practical service—honoring sacred discipline and supporting the dvija as part of one’s religious duty.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is implied: it prescribes the correct sequence—dāna to a brāhmaṇa and then pāraṇa—showing how vows are ritually concluded.
