Brahma
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames the Kūrma Purāṇa as a sacred source centered on Hari (Viṣṇu), highlighting the avatāra principle—Divinity assumes forms to uphold cosmic order—within a specific kalpa-based Purāṇic timeline.
By identifying the text’s focus on Hari in the Kūrma form, the verse directs attention to Viṣṇu as the primary object of remembrance and narration—key bhakti practices in Purāṇic tradition (śravaṇa/listening and smaraṇa/remembering).
The verse points to Purāṇic anukramaṇikā-style organization using kalpa terminology (Lakṣmī-kalpa), a form of traditional chronological/ritual-context classification rather than a specific Vedāṅga technique like vyākaraṇa or jyotiṣa.
