ब्रह्मोवाच । शृणु वत्स प्रवक्ष्यामि पुराणं वामनाभिधम् । त्रिविक्रमचरित्राढ्यं दशसाहस्रसंख्यकम् ॥ १ ॥
brahmovāca | śṛṇu vatsa pravakṣyāmi purāṇaṃ vāmanābhidham | trivikramacaritrāḍhyaṃ daśasāhasrasaṃkhyakam || 1 ||
梵天说道：听吧，亲爱的孩子；我将宣说名为《侏儒（婆摩那）往世书》的圣典，充满三步化身（特里维克拉玛）的事迹，共有一万颂。
