Sārasvata–Dadhīca Upākhyāna at Sarasvatī Tīrtha

Balarāma’s Pilgrimage Context

धर्मात्मा जैगीषव्य तथा असितमुनिका ऐसा ही प्रभाव था। उन दोनों महात्माओंका यह श्रेष्ठ स्थान ही तीर्थ है ।।

tatrāpy upaspṛśya tato mahātmā dattvā ca vittaṃ halabhṛd dvijebhyaḥ | avāpya dharmaṃ paramārthakarmā jagāma somasya mahat sutīrtham ||

持法的阇耆湿婆耶与阿悉多牟尼亦具如是威能。两位大圣的这处最胜之地,本身便是一处圣渡口(tīrtha)。在那里,持犁的大心者婆罗罗摩也行净浴之礼,继而以财物施与“二生”婆罗门。以趋向至上善的行持而得法之功德后,他前往月神苏摩那宏大而殊胜的圣渡口。
